A monochrome color scheme utilizes one color in various hues, values and saturations. So that one color can actually vary widely, say from a pale pink to a deep red. You can avoid monotony and create inerest by mixing texture and pattern. Here, a metallic drapery in Copper provides a shimmery backdrop to the rich and plush chocolate brown mohair. Viesso Furnishes Facebook

Facebook – innovative, on the leading edge, taking the world by storm. So what do they sit on at the Facebook offices in Palo Alto? Viesso. A recent Wall Street Journal article profiled Facebook’s Chris Cox, Vice President of Product and “Social Chief”. Photographed in Viesso’s Mota Armchair upholstered in Kvadrat’s Happy fabric.

Viesso, the Los Angeles based furniture showroom that specializes in modern technology to create customized modern design worked directly with Facebook to furnish several spaces. Modular pieces in bold prints furnish lounges, interview rooms and informal meeting spaces.

And the Color of the Year Is… 18-2120 TXC, No Kidding

Think Pink: Color authority Pantone has named Honeysuckle as the color of the year for 2011. I don’t think of HoneySuckle as pink, but sure enough it is. You can bet that Pantone’s 18-2120 TCX will be seen everwhere. A bright, optomistic hue, it has been described as “…the lipstick our mother’s wore…” which, depending on your age, could conjure up varying images.
