As Seen in WSJ: Furniture Does Double Duty

Several years ago, I was chatting with a furniture showroom manager who told me that people were no longer satisfied with beautiful design. They also wanted their furniture to do tricks. Here we are, many years later and maybe he was right. However, creating great design that also does tricks is pretty compelling. Lollisoft, shown here, is a mere 12″ deep in the closed position – a far cry from the old Murphy Bed. What’s truly amazing is the mechanism which facilitates the transformation – SEEMLESS. This design, by Clei, Italy and many other convertible furniture designs can be seen at Resource Furniture
