Black & White Pillows from Ferm Living

ferm living pillows
Of all the articles written for this blog, the most popular post reviewed a collection great black and white decorative pillows. So we’ve decided its time to update with some new entrants to the category. All of the pillows shown here are from a single source: Ferm Living - a Danish company that creates interior accents with a strong graphic touch and a pretty reasonable  price.  While the designs here are black and white, Ferm has a nice selection of colorful pillows as well @ Ferm Living

Happy Kids

From designer Peter Raacke, a five piece boxed children’s dinnerware set. What a great gift – just enough to make you smile. Clear, clean graphic without the usual corny themes.  Give kids credit, they’ll recognize good design when they see it! Mono Kids Smile.

A Hands On Salad Bowl – or Potluck 101

hands_on3larger
Simon Pengelly created Hands On Salad Bowl for British design house Joseph Joseph. It kind of falls under the category, Why didn’t I think of that? But then again, some of the simplest ideas are the hardest to come up with. For those of you who spend time at your children’s school potlucks – you know how often the salad servers are left behind. With this little piece of genius, that is not going to happen. Made from melamine, this bowl is beyond practical. We love it!

Fermob Luxembourg on Old Harvard Yard

harvardfermob 1
On a recent trip to Boston with my son, I was surprised to see Fermob Luxembourg chairs and lounges in bright colors all over the Harvard campus. They looked great – bright punches of color against the beautiful brick buildings on the yard.

It was a hot and very humid day, which gave me a chance to give the chairs a try. The low lounge chair with the footrest was the best seat on Old Harvard Yard.
