That 70’s Sofa – Mario Marenco by arflex
Big, puffy, very cool, very 70’s – the Mario Marenco Sofa and Marenco Armchair, named for the designer were reintroduced thirty seven years after introduction. While unconventional, this sofa is warm, welcoming and evokes a feeling of security for me. The way the pillows are allowed to squish together makes you feel like you should flop down on Marenco.
Hi. This sofa looks great but it’s so low.. isn’t it?

Surprisingly it isnt. The seat height is about 16.1″, pretty standard. What I’m not sure about is how far you sink down once you’re on it.

Ok, i was just at Modern Living in Los Angeles and they have Marenco on the floor. I sat on it and it is pretty firm. It feels slightly low, but not overly low. Its very comfortable and looks great.
