Yaschilan Carpet by Vittorio Locatelli for Driade. Locatelli combines architectural and interior design with applied arts including illustration, graphic design and painting. The result here is just really pretty. From the colors to the highly detailed design, this rug is beautiful. I am really curious about the name, Yaschilan. From what I can find, it may be reference to the Yaxchilan area of Mexico – a Mayan archaelogical center that is only reachable by air or boat on Rio Usmacinta, the river that divides Mexico and Guatemala. If anyone knows the story behind this piece or its name, tip us off! @Linea
