Limn Los Angeles
If you’ve walked or driven down La Brea Avenue in the last nine months you must have noticed a dramatic space on the west side of the street between Beverly and 1st – it was LIMN. Edgy showrooms can sometimes intimidate people, but trust me, you need to walk through the door. These are people who love design, are excited by it and want to share it with you. The showroom is totally ecclectic and curated. The pieces are all fantastic in their own right – Ideas that never crossed your mind that have been conceived, designed and executed by new and established designers and artists. A field trip definitely worth taking. Limn is at 169 N. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles.
Dan Freidlander started LIMN 27 years ago in San Francisco – that showroom is now a staggering 40,000 square feet of modern, one of the most complete we’ve seen. Since then, LIMN showrooms have opened in Sacramento, Seattle and Los Angeles – each was designed to have a unique character. I will be in Seattle in a few weeks and will report back on LIMN Seattle.
