Solid S1 Stool found at Moss and designed by Patrick Jouin. This limited edition stool was created by means of an industrial prototyping technique called Selective Laser Sintering, a process of creating rapid prototypes allowing one to print three dimensional structures from a CAD Computer model. Rapid prototyping is used by manufacturers all over the world as a quick way to realize CAD models, regardless of structural complexity, for testing and product examination. With his Solid series, Jouin embraces the technology not as a method to create a prototype but as a new method of manufacturing. Number 3 from a limited edition of 30 pieces.
