Poul Kjaerholm developed his renown furniture collection from 1951 until 1967. He was trained at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts and was keenly interested in a variety of construction materials. He favored steel as a primary material and complemented it with natural materials such as wood, leather, cane or marble. His designs are understated, elegant and finely detailed. Each of his designs is executed with great precision. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Please contact Karkula for more information.
