Plyned Dining Table is made from bamboo with exposed plys on the edges. An optional trough in the center of the table provides a space for candles, or other items. Clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic make Plyned the perfect fit for modern interiors. The Plyned line also includes occasional tables.
The bamboo used for the Plyned line of tables is grown in managed forests. Harvesting is done by hand, minimizing the impact on the local environment. By working with bamboo and understanding its growth patterns, bamboo farmers are able to maximize timber production while maintaining healthy forests. Fast growing and long lived, their timber bamboo grows to a height of 40 feet with a diameter exceeding 6 inches and matures in 5-6 years. Bamboo is a grass and from an environmental standpoint, this is important. Unlike traditional hardwoods, bamboo when harvested does not require replanting.
